Process Server in Maryland

Roman Guardian LLC serves legal papers throughout Maryland’s DC suburbs and beyond — Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, and the surrounding counties — for District Court and Circuit Court matters, with a sworn affidavit for every completed serve.

Where in Maryland do you serve papers?

Our home ground is the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC: Bethesda, Silver Spring, Rockville, and the rest of Montgomery County, and Upper Marlboro, Greenbelt, Hyattsville, and the rest of Prince George’s County. Service is also available toward Baltimore and Dundalk and in other Maryland counties — call (202) 553-2209 and ask about your address.

How much does process service in Maryland cost?

Routine service is $165, including three attempts at the address provided, with payment in advance. Rush service for tight deadlines starts at $25 on top of the routine rate. If the address you have is stale, a skip trace to find a current address is $125. Routine service is completed in 48–72 hours. Three attempts are included, with timestamped status updates on every attempt, and every assignment is quoted in writing before work begins.

What kinds of Maryland cases do you serve?

Summonses and complaints for Maryland District Court and Circuit Court cases, family court papers, landlord-tenant and small claims documents, subpoenas, and court orders. Title and settlement companies also use us for time-sensitive deliveries connected to closings and filings.

What do you need from me to start?

The papers to be served, the name of the person or business, the best address you have, and your deadline. Email the documents to [email protected] or call (202) 553-2209. A photo or description of the person helps when you have one.

What happens if the person is not home or avoids service?

You get a written record of every attempt — dates, times, and observations — which supports your next step with the court. If the person has moved, a skip trace can usually establish a current address so service can be completed.

What proof do I receive?

A completed affidavit of service ready for filing, stating when, where, and how service was made. Maryland courts accept affidavits from private process servers, and ours are written to the standard attorneys file every day.
