Process Server in Northern Virginia
Roman Guardian LLC serves legal papers across Northern Virginia — Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax County, Loudoun County, and Prince William County — for Virginia General District and Circuit Court matters, out-of-state cases, and DC firms with Virginia respondents.
Where in Northern Virginia do you serve papers?
Arlington and Alexandria, Fairfax County including McLean, Tysons, Reston, and Fairfax City, Loudoun County including Leesburg and Sterling, and Prince William County including Manassas and Woodbridge. If your address is just outside that list, call (202) 553-2209 — we will tell you plainly whether we can take it.
How much does it cost to serve papers in Virginia?
Routine service is $165, including three attempts at the address provided, with payment in advance. Rush service starts at $25 on top of the routine rate when a deadline is close. A skip trace to locate a current address is $125. Routine service is completed in 48–72 hours. Three attempts are included, with timestamped status updates on every attempt, and every assignment is quoted in writing before work begins.
Can you serve Virginia papers for an out-of-state case?
Yes. Law firms and individuals outside Virginia regularly send us papers for respondents who live or work in Northern Virginia, including documents issued by DC and Maryland courts. You receive the same affidavit of service and attempt reporting as on a local case.
What do you need from me to start a serve?
The documents, the name of the person or business, the best address you have, and any deadline. Email them to [email protected] or call (202) 553-2209. Descriptions and photographs help where you have them.
What proof do I get after service?
A sworn affidavit (proof of service) with the date, time, place, and manner of service, ready for filing. If service cannot be completed, you receive a full attempt report so your attorney can pursue the next step the court allows.
Why use a private process server instead of the sheriff?
Speed and attention. A private server works your papers on your deadline, makes attempts at the hours people are actually home, and reports back directly to you. Roman Guardian is run by Robert Glenn, a retired law enforcement professional, and every serve is handled as if it were going to be read closely in court — because it may be.
